The Seminole Tribe of Florida has long been recognized for innovation in its gaming businesses, as well as its other businesses. In 1979, it opened the first high-stakes bingo hall and casino in the United States in Hollywood, Florida. Building on its rich heritage of courageous and groundbreaking achievements, the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired Hard Rock International in 2007—the first transaction of its kind by an Indian tribe.
